We use a variety of cleaning techniques for your carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
The most common system used today is steam cleaning. Other systems which we can use is the dry cleaning method, and the low moisture system.
All have their own benefits.
Let me explain this to you.
Steam cleaning carpets
Steam or very hot water is the most popular form of cleaning in the carpet cleaning world.
This method allows very hot water or steam to penetrate the fibres of your materials from tip to toe which removes the grease, grit, odour and any other nasties which may be harmful.
Chemicals may also be used prior to the cleaning, which also help break down the soils. This is by far the most common system used and can be exercised on most types of fibres.
Low moisture carpet cleaning
This particular system is used on the more sensitive fibres, those that would either shrink or distort using the hwe method.
As the wording states this is low moisture. So how this works is a rotating cleaning machine, with an attached wool pad moves along the carpet , at the same time the operator releases small amounts of water which come into contact with the wool padding, and then agitates, and cleans the carpets or rug at the same time. Prior to this happening the carpet would have been thoroughly vacuumed and then a mist of chemical applicable to the type of carpet or rug to be worked on is applied.
The disadvantage of this system is that you will not get a deep down clean.
The advantage is that the area cleaned would be dry within 30 minutes or less.
And finally the dry cleaning system. Although we say dry, a minimal amount of moisture is applied whether this be chemical or water.
The dry compound is liberally applied to the carpet and is then agitated deep into the carpet. When the compound comes into contact with the chemical, a reaction takes place. This reaction allows the compound to remove odour, break any dirt and grease, which is after a 20 minute dwell time hoovered up.
The advantages of this system is that the carpet will be dry when finished.
The disadvantage is that the carpet will not be thoroughly clean, probably on surface clean.
When we have dogs these lovely creatures bring with them some negative issues such as smells from their sweat, fur tangled in the fibres, urine issues be it accident as a pup.
We have spoken a lot about Urine Extraction in some of our blogs so please take a view at the process.
You may think that your carpet does not smell, but does it? Have you taken the nose test?
As a rule of thumb the average home has there carpets cleaned every 5 years plus, when in fact carpets should be cleaned every 12 months at least. Odours build up over time, you become used to it, until is reached the level of my carpet stinks. Well we have spoken about smells in our carpets.
Stains in your carpets can be an eyesore, and embarrassment even. Most stains can be removed but as long as no attempt has been made by you. These so called stain removers bought at your local store can cause You a lot of stress.
You follows there instructions, but a few days later its back. You try again and it’s like a bad penny.
Now sometimes you can get lucky and you have not sealed the stain in, however if the stain is sealed into the fibres, that stain cannot be removed by any form of expert carpet cleaning
My team are very experienced, well trained in what they do.
I only use the very best chemicals which in combination with our powerful machinery,
